Application progress

You can see at a glance where your application or consent is in the building consent process, and see if anything is blocking progress.

Progress flowchart

The Application Overview page of the application gives a summary of status information, including a progress flow that is a visual representation of the consent process.

stages and steps

Each circle in the progress flow shows a stage in the application process.

A stage may have multiple steps to complete, so each progress circle is divided into segments reflecting progress through those steps. For example, if an assessment stage consists of four steps: lodged, processed, RFIs and issued, the progress circle has four segments.

The number of segments may increase during a stage if additional steps are required.

Completed stages and steps are shown in green. Stages and steps that are not started yet are grey.

The steps within the current stage are shown below the progress circle. The colour and icon show the state of that step. See Application stages & statuses for a guide to all status indicators.

Timeline against statutory clock

A timeline is shown for a stage when a statutory timeframe is active. The timeline:

  • shows the application progress against the statutory processing clock.

  • turns red when the consent process is stopped by an outstanding action, such as an RFI or due payment.

  • shows the date the BCA started the clock: the start date is the date at which the BCA accepted your complete application, not the date you submitted the application
